Comparison of energy consumption, CO2 emissions between normal concrete and UHPC in rural bridge application

چکیده
Due to its outstanding mechanical properties and durability, Ultra High-Performance Concrete (UHPC) hasbeen gradually used for different types of structures in recent years. However, the analysis environmental impacts assessment overall sustainability performance UHPC applications is quite limited.This study presents results determining total energy embodied CO2 emissions causing greenhouse effect a rural bridge using compare normal concrete (NC) one by life-cycle (LCA) method. Environmental are comprehensively considered at all stages from material production; materials transportation; in-situ construction installation; maintenance repair during service life; finally demolished end project’s life. The shows that application can reduce volume 40-58%, lower 65% consumption eliminate up 76% compared with conventional bridge. also confirm viable technical eco-friendly option Vietnam.
